Abstract

The paper addresses the traffic engineering in Software-Defined Networks (SDN). A brief analysis of the features of the SDN organization, which allows to increase the Traffic Engineering (TE) efficiency, is given. The viability of using multipath routing with TE is substantiated. Taking into account the features of the SDN technology, a modified TE method, which allows to reduce the time complexity of generating a set of paths and to reduce the rerouting time, is proposed. The procedure and an example of the routing tables’ formation are given. The results of modeling the TE process with changing communication links load are given. It is shown, that route reconfiguration does not significantly affect its traffic metric.
