Sustainable solutions for water treatment
Description
Water scarcity has prompted research to increase efforts to provide faster and more practical solutions directly to farmers, households, and industries.
The use of water in agriculture occupies around 80% of the resources of a country, so its correct management is essential for the sustainability of agricultural activity. Because the organization in agriculture is broad spectrum, farmers require small-scale solutions as well as large-scale treatments. The treatment of tailings from mine processing also are relevant as they can be reuse in process or release for other uses.
Therefore, it is necessary to promote practical and direct solutions in the fields while promoting techniques related to low-cost treatments, constructed wetlands, eutrophication management, additives to separate pollutants and salinity. This can be aided by computational modeling.
